A lot has happened since I last posted here. To be honest, I nearly deleted this blog about ten times, but I figured someday I’ll want it.
I quit my job at the local deli and got a new job as a community manager for a video game company. I also changed my major from political science to computer science, which both rocks and sucks at the same time. Copious amounts of algebra and calculus. I still have little idea what I’m doing with my life, though I think I’m being slowly pushed towards working in the gaming industry.
Speaking of games, I bought an Xbox 360–it’s been pretty fun. I have about two missions in GTAIV before it’s over. Overall it was an enjoyable experience, though the car jackings and shootouts lose their appeal after the last island opens up. It just gets old. If I were a game reviewer, which I’m obviously not, I would give it a 9/10 for ingenuity, remarking that their biggest improvement for future titles could be depth. I’m not talking character depth or anything, I’m just saying it would have been cooler if there were even more buildings you could enter during non-missions or even more side missions to do. Radioactive pigeon-rat-things were boring to hunt down for 100% completition (which I am trying to do before I finish the game).
