It’s been a while. I only remember to write in here when I’m overtly stressed and doing too much with too little time. Bulleted-lists work well for this scenario and degree of laziness, I imagine:

I declined the Lit Magazine layout editor position.

This is because I got promoted at work and salaried. I’m no longer a community manager–I’m an assistant marketing director. The upside is the pay raise, the downside is that my soul is consumed by work. I think it weighs out or something. I never thought I’d have a career at twenty-one.

Bloc Party came out with their best CD yet called Intimacy. If you’re a fan, you’ll love it. If you aren’t a fan, chances are you’ll love it as well.

Been playing way too much Team Fortress 2 with Andrew, Ryan, Dave, and a few other kids sprinkled in. I am the best Medic ever.

I am moving to Pittsburgh or Cincinnati in the next six months or so, made possibly purely by the raise. I am thrilled.

I got a brand new PC, and its parts are coming this Friday. Exciting!

Squishables are awesome.

Girls Don’t Game has mostly stagnated, but that’s what happens when you work sixty hours a week and so does your best friend.

In case I don’t post before November 19th, I’m enjoying the last bits of being twenty-one. It was a horrific age for me, but it led to life changing events and discoveries. I have a feeling twenty-two is going to be rockstar!

We’re all playing WoW again casually without the nasty raiding and other addictions. Recruit a friend is hilariously imbalanced, and I still hate alts. Last night, in my full tier 6, I farmed for Righteous Orbs and it was incredibly boring and fun at the same time. Baron’s Mount did not (and never will) drop.

At work, we’re working on the beta for our game, which is time consuming as well. Have you ever written a NDA? Well, I have now.

I also got a few review copies of some games (namely Soul Caliber IV) and a promise to get a free Fable 2 recently for Girls Don’t Game. An EA exec also approached me about an all expense paid trip to San Francisco to tour their headquarters, which is officially happening and we’re all officially excited.

I go back to school soon after nearly a month interim. I worked forty hours a week on this break, though, so some break! When I go back, I’m actually working a quick part-time job as an editor for our school’s lit magazine in addition to my current job. Obviously if I can’t, I have to back out from the magazine job. Still, here’s to hoping I can balance ‘em and Calculus and life.

Oh, life.

This was never an intentional choice–it just happened one day and I never fixed it.

Well, now that I work in a Serious Business Job with dozens of emails in my inbox daily and a few phone calls an afternoon, I figured it was time to fix it. I need to be able to access my emails while commuting or answer that invariably early call from the boss. I’m also pretty sure everyone I work with has a Blackberry in the least, and a more powerful PDA in the most. At any rate, I didn’t want to be outdone, so I got a Samsung SCH-i760. Yes, SmartPhones are addictive. Yes, it bugs me that this little fellow is about as powerful as my first computer back in 1997 was.

Life is weird and technology is weirder!

I want to name him Cell-E!
